SPAIN : PLAYERS TO WATCH

Real Madrid striker Raul, the greatest goal-scorer in European Champions League history, hasn't enjoyed the same success in the World Cup. He suffered a severe knee injury in November, 2005 and how he recovers from it - and how soon -- could make the difference between more disappointment or a surprise in Germany. As it turned out, Raul did not lead Spain in goals during qualifying. Forward Fernando Torres, 21, with seven goals, did. Goalkeeper Iker Casillas is considered top class and defender Carles Puyol is one of Europe's best.
