CHASING MARTA?
Saint Louis trades for first pick

WHERE WILL MARTA GO?
Salary may hinder her move

But while most teams would be smacking their lips at the chance of getting the Brazilian superstar, her salary might be an obstacle for teams in the budget- conscious WPS.

The team has been for sale since the middle of last year, when Anschutz Entertainment Group President Tim Leiweke all but announced that the company would no longer be willing to fund half of the team’s losses, estimated at more than $1 million.
