No selections by Galaxy, Chivas in draft

Neither the Los Angeles Galaxy nor Chivas USA picked anyone up in Stage 1 of the MLS re-entry draft, which was held via teleconference on Wednesday afternoon.

So, the two players Chivas USA did not pick up options on Marcelo Saragosa and Alex Zotinca and the two players the Galaxy let go, Jovan Kirovski and Dema Kovalenko -- will be eligible for Stage 2 of the re-entry draft next week.

As it turned out, only two players were selected by the 18 teams.

D.C. United grabbed Joseph Ngwenya and added him to its roster.

The Columbus Crew tabbed Aaron Hohlbein. According to the league, a bona fide offer will be extended to Hohlbein by the Crew.
