ANOTHER LATE COLLAPSE
Pontius' stoppage-time goal lifts D.C. United past Galaxy
Galaxy goalkeeper Brian Rowe kept this ball away from DC United's Chris Pontius, but wasn't so lucky in stoppage time, when Pontius scored to give DC a 1-0 win.

LA GALAXY RECENT NEWS

A 'RIDICULOUS' LOSS
Last-minute strike lifts D.C. United past improved Galaxy

Omar Gonzalez blocks a shot by DC United forward Jairo Arrieta in the first half of Saturday's 1-0 Galaxy loss at RFK Stadium. The Galaxy had nobody but themselves to blame after giving away a point at the end of Saturday night's showdown with D.C. United in Washington, but they promised that this time they'll grow from their mistakes.

The Galaxy played their best game yet this season, but that nagging deficiency -- conceding late, important goals -- caught them by surprise again Sunday night in a 1-0 loss at D.C. United.

NO KEANE, NO ZARDES
Galaxy go to a new attack -- with Buddle, perhaps? -- at D.C. United

The absence of both Robbie Keane and Gyasi Zardes on Saturday could send Jose Villareal to the Galaxy front line against DC United. The Galaxy will need to employ a new attack this weekend in the nation's capital, finding stand-ins for Robbie Keane and Gyasi Zardes.

GALAXY ADDS A KEEPER
Trey Mitchell signs on

LA Galaxy has signed goalkeeper Trey Mitchell, a native of Alta Loma, Calif.

FROM THE GALAXY TO THE USA
Heeding the country's call

CARSON, Calif. - Four LA Galaxy players have been named to rosters for upcoming U.S. Menís National Team matches, Gyasi Zardes, Oscar Sorto, Bradford Jamieson IV and LA Galaxy II forward Ariel Lassiter.

THIS ONE FEELS 'LIKE A LOSS'
Galaxy start strong, then stumble in draw with Houston

"We've got to keep on pushing, we've got to be ready for anything," said Omar Gonzalez. "We've got to be a lot more physical in the run of play, a lot more physical on defensive set pieces.Ē If the Galaxy's draw in Portland a week ago, notched on a stoppage-time goal moments after they had fallen behind, seemed like something more than what it was, then Saturday night's tie with visiting Houston had the opposite effect.

QUICK START NOT ENOUGH
Keane provides early lead, Galaxy settle for draw with Dynamo

Robbie Keane's early goal was only good for a 1-1 draw with Houston on Saturday. The Galaxy and Houston Dynamo traded early goals, and L.A. couldn't come up with a winner despite dominating play after halftime, settling for a 1-1 draw Saturday night in front of 19,087 at StubHub Center.

'TOO EARLY' TO KNOW
Galaxy still finding themselves, take on Dynamo

The Galaxy have struggled to find the requisite sharpness in their first two outings this season while dominating their foes and claiming four of six points, not a bad sum after falling behind in the 90th minute of last week's clash in Portland.
