February 4, 2010 FLORIDA BOUND Four Chivas players called for USA-El Salvador
Four players from Chivas USA have been called into camp ahead of the United States and El Salvador friendly in Tampa, Florida, on Feb. 24
Three Chivas regulars, goalkeeper Zach Thornton, defender Jonathan Borstein and midfielder Sacha Kljestan were called by Bob Bradley, while recently acquired midfielder Osael Romero was called up by El Salvador head coach José Luis Rugamas.
El Salvador begins its training camp on Monday, Feb. 15 in San Salvador, and will fly to Tampa on Monday, Feb. 22. In 37 appearances for El Salvador, Romero has scored eight goals.
Five of his goals have also been scored in the Los Angeles area; one in a Feb. 6, 2009 friendly against Peru at the L.A. Memorial Coliseum, two in a 3-1 friendly victory over Ecuador on May 27, 2009, also at the Coliseum, and two in the 2-1 Gold Cup win over Costa Rica on July 3, 2009.
