CARSON, Calif---Nearly half of the Chivas USA’s 30 matches will be aired on national television, with six being broadcast on Fox Soccer Channel and Fox Sports en Español, four on ESPN2 and ESPN Deportes, and four on TeleFutura.
For the first time in league history, each of the league’s 16 teams will play a balanced schedule, meeting each of the other 15 teams once at home and once on the road.
The Super Clásico matches this year fall early and late on the calendar, with Chivas USA playing ‘at’ the LA Galaxy in the second match of the season on Thursday, April 1, and then hosting the intra-stadium rivals in the last month of the season, on Sunday, Oct. 3.
Former Chivas coach Preki makes his return to the HDC with Toronto FC on October 9.
The 2010 MLS schedule features a two-week break – June 11 through June 25 – that aligns with the group phase of the FIFA World Cup.
