MLS puts off roster compliance deadline

New York -- Well, chalk this one up to the unfinished negotiations between Major League Soccer and the MLS players union.

The league delayed Monday's roster compliance date, according to a statement issued by MLS today.

The statement said the date was put off "while discussions continue over related topics with the MLS players union.

A new roster compliance date will be set in the next few weeks.
