SEATTLE, Wash. - Chad Barrett scored the game winner in second-half stoppage time as Seattle Sounders FC beat defending MLS Cup champion Sporting Kansas City, 1-0, in the MLS regular season opener Saturday afternoon at CenturyLink Field. Seattle's attendance of 39,240 marked the largest opening day crowd in club history.
