LASN WOMEN'S COLLEGE HONORS
Fullerton's Wilson is Player of the Year

Rebecca Wilson produced one of the best seasons in Big West Conference women's soccer history as Cal State Fullerton won a share of the regular-season title and captured the tournament crown to reach the NCAA Division I women's tournament, and her efforts are rewarded with the LA Soccer News women’s college player of the year award.

The senior forward from Placentia was a first-team All-America selection and the Big West Conference's offensive player of the year for the second straight season after scoring 19 goals -- 10 of them game-winners -- with 10 assists to lead the Titans.

She scored 34 goals with 19 assists in 88 career games at CSUF, scoring 29 goals with 13 assists in her final two seasons, after an injury forced her to redshirt as a junior in 2013.

Wilson had four multigoal games in 2015, including an Oct. 11 hat trick against Hawaii, and contributed three assists in a 4-2 victory Nov. 5 over fellow regular-season champ UC Santa Barbara in a Big West semifinal.

Loyola Marymount's Michelle Myers is the coach of the year, UC Santa Barbara's Mallory Hromatko the freshman of the year, and Virginia All-American Makenzy Doniak is the out-of-area player of the year.
